ボビー・ジュードさんのインスタグラム写真 - (ボビー・ジュードInstagram)「I get to travel a lot as a TV reporter, but it's been a while since I got to go somewhere as a traveler. So when the Ministry of Environment asked me to join some other foreigners to give them feedback on Kirishima-Kinkowan National Park as a tourist destination, I was super excited. I got to spend three days feeling like I was 22 again and discovering Japan for the first time, and it totally redefined my concept of what makes a National Park. I expected (and got) beautiful landscapes, hiking, camping, and lots of nature, but Kirishima-Kinkowan also includes great roads for driving, hot springs, shrine sites, restaurants, museums, and chances to interact with locals through a homestay and farming experiences. It made me want to explore more of Kirishima, as well as find out what's the other national parks in Japan have to offer. I'll be posting some pictures from the trip over the next few days.
