Works of art from Buckingham Palace will go on display tomorrow as a new exhibition opens at Brighton’s Royal Pavilion. ‘A Prince’s Treasure’ will feature over 120 items from Buckingham Palace. George IV originally commissioned the artwork in the 1800s.

The exhibition will feature items looked after by @royalcollectiontrust and held in trust for the nation by Her Majesty The Queen. In the 1840s the Pavilion was sold. Queen Victoria moved many of the furnishings and fittings to Buckingham Palace, where they were preserved. 📷 The exhibition will include Chinese pagodas which were transferred from Brighton to Buckingham Palace in the 1840s. The display at @BrightonMuseums, will ensure the protection of the porcelain & furniture, whilst essential Reservicing works take place in the Palace. These include replacing electrics and pipework.
