This quote from Jonathan Franzen’s New Yorker article, “What If We Stopped Pretending,” is at first glance, perhaps, pessimistic. I highly recommend reading the article (google it!) before calling me a defeatist 😅 But it reflects my personal sentiment on climate change. I believe in the strength of human nature... and so, I believe we will not change in time. But that does not mean we will lose hope. Today’s global #ClimateStrike 🌎🌍🌏 represents incredibly important action that NEEDS to continue, for the sake of humanity, along with all the social issues Franzen lists above. Big shoutout to those representing #ClimbTheHill in Washington 🙏🏻🙏🏻 Fight for the climate, for the youth, but also fight for each other. In any way you can.
