We have always been about doing things a little differently. When our founder, Arinobu Fukuhara opened the doors and welcomed the first customers into his Ginza district pharmacy, it signaled the beginning of a company that would change the beauty landscape. It was 1872, and we had just introduced Japan to its very first Western-style pharmacy.

Last month, we are proud to launch the SHISEIDO BLUE PROJECT, with @五十嵐カノア as our project ambassador. It is our first global initiative partnering with the World Surf League (@世界プロサーフィン連盟（WSL）), the global home of surfing; WSL PURE (@wslpure), the WSL’s nonprofit arm committed to inspire, educate, and empower ocean protection; and a variety of top professional surfers.

As a start, we are sponsoring the Quiksilver and Roxy Pro France Championship Tours, and will support dune planting and beach cleaning efforts organized by WSL and WSL PURE after each event. Stay tuned for more updates!
