Marcela is the amazing teacher using #harrypotter books as a way to encourage literacy. After @zimcares and @jakkstoys heard about this class, they wanted to help. So today I got to give these special third graders their own wands and Owls (no #howlers delivered) We read a book, had a long conversation about bullying and other things on 8 year old minds, and most importantly we talked about spreading the love of reading to their siblings and friends. I won’t bombard you with a million pictures (well here anyway... I might in my stories) but I promise my excitement and smiles were as big as theirs.
