The iconic mural on the corner of Houston and Bowery was graced with @松山智一 incredibly detailed technique of layering imagery that reflects New York City’s global culture. “Dynamic, intricate and powerful are words that I would use to describe the work of Tomokazu Matsuyama,” said @jessicagoldmansrebnick CEO of Goldman Properties and Founder of Goldman Global Arts. “Matzu is thoughtful, disciplined and extraordinary and we couldn’t be happier to share his largest and most complex public mural to date with the city of New York.” As a proud resident of Brooklyn, New York, Matzu looks to pay homage to the city on the massive 1,300 square foot wall. He and an unprecedented team of 11 assistants, worked for two weeks with time scheduled down to the minute.
