I’m so greatful for @karmagawa and @balichildrensproject . Growing up in Bali I have witnessed the disadvantages in education and overall living conditions. In most secluded Villages, schools are very run down, teachers are unmotivated to teach as conditions are poor. In the Mountains, Some Kids even walk up to 3 hours to go to school, on big main roads full of trucks and busses. If they don’t walk, they borrow their parents bike and drive to school. Some can’t even afford backpacks and shoes. The schools usually barely have supplies. Karmagawa has built 57 schools around the world, and 17 in Bali. These schools include programs, books, supplies, computers and most important of all: a safe space where the kids can learn and feel protected. @karmagawa Goal is to build 1000 schools! They just donated another 40.000$ to @balichildrensproject to be able to help more communities,children,futures and reach their goal! They are also going to introduce new @karmagawa school buses to provide safe transport to the campuses for the Locals. • They named this library after me 😭😭 so special, was hard not to be emotional.
