It was great to host FBB participant Pierre at Carrington a few months ago. Pierre is a talented goalkeeper, loves there game of football, but had recently been told by his coach that if he didn’t loose weight he would be dropped from the team. Listen to what he has to say and consider the effects of taking sport away from children on the basis of weight, especially without constructive guidance. Let’s realise that bad diet can be the result of financial restraints rather than choice. We need a greater food education in schools and brands need to take a greater responsibility for the way they advertise to young people.
