Omentoke Omene, 26, and her one- month-old baby girl go into the field to plant plantain and cut down some smaller trees, leaving room for the yuca (manioc) to grow. They are Huaorani from the community of Noneno, located along the Shiripuno River in the Amazon rainforest. Women are more likely to take care of their crops to feed their family. #amazonwomen
