My heart is full 🥰 from catching up on lost time with my family, joking and chatting endlessly like we haven’t spent 9 years apart. Meeting new cousins, and seeing cousins who were once cute little children blossom into full grown adults. Friends, family and neighbours bringing endless plates of food, and many pots of tea 🍵 Exploring the rich culture of Sudan, from the many aromas and sounds of the markets, to eating fresh caught fish from the Nile, and washing our hands in the river afterwards. And lastly, the best feeling was the newfound freedom felt everywhere and celebrated by all as result of the Revolution earlier this year, and all Sudanese men calling all Sudanese women “Kandaka’s” (Nubian Queens).
