LOVE THE SEA AND THE EARTH

G-SHOCKとBABY-Gは、絶滅の危機にある生態系、海洋・生物の多様性、気候変動など多岐にわたる環境保全、研究を支援している「EARTHWATCH」を2019年もサポート。今回はMASTER OF Gシリーズから、地球上で最も過酷な環境のひとつである高温多雨のジャングルや密林での使用を想定した「RANGEMAN」GW-9400をベースに採用。生息数が減少傾向にある希少な個体、オカピをモチーフに、ベゼルにはブラウンスケルトン樹脂を、バンドにはブラウンスケルトン樹脂にオカピの四肢の横縞模様をデザイン。フェイスの左上にあるインジケーターにはオカピの舌の色である青を採用し時計のアクセントとしています。

G-SHOCK and BABY-G has been supporting "EARTHWATCH", an organization supporting scientific field research and education to promote the understanding and action necessary for a sustainable environment. This time, the base model is "RANGEMAN" GW-9400 that is designed to withstand the harsh environments such as jungle and deep forest. The design of the watch is inspired by endangered animal Okapi, brown transparent resin is used for bezel and Okapi's leg pattern is printed on the band. Indicator is colored in blue as an accent, which is same color as Okapi's tongue.
