The idea for this recipe came up with @ketelone - we talked about what is in season right now. Because while there’s a lot of cabbage and roots, the fruit season is over. Except for, you guessed it, rose hip! Seasonality is very much on the mind of Ketel One. Now in its 11th generation, the honest Dutch family business shows other drink production companies how to produce better, and create more awareness against waste. One big advantage of rose hip is that you can forage it from many places in the city. And you don’t need much to make the syrup for this vodka soda. It’s astonishingly easy, I made it from two handful of fresh fruits and local honey (see my stories for details), combined 2cl of it with 4cl of KetelOne vodka and added soda.
