Sakura of America（サクラクレパス）さんのインスタグラム写真 - (Sakura of America（サクラクレパス）Instagram)「Hello everyone! @theninjabot here and today I wanted to show you some process shots for my Joker PopCat illustration. ⁠⠀ .⁠⠀ A quick tip: First thing to do is to make sure to wet the whole paper with a healthy amount of water first (that’s why the picture is glistening), and then I let it dry before I begin painting. I do that because it helps to prevent the paper from buckling while I’m painting it. ⁠⠀ .⁠⠀ One thing that I do when using my Koi Watercolor Kit is for illustrations is that I apply colors very⁠ lightly. Even though you can go heavy color to make it faster, I enjoy layering colors little by little because it gives me more control on how saturated I can go with it, and it lets me add additional colors to my painting to add more texture to it.⁠ The finished shot of this painting will be posted soon.
