I think the last time I've cared so much about a competition was in the weeks leading up to my first open national, back in 2014. I'm usually pretty laid back until the actual day of the comp, when I can let my nerves surface and feel them drive me to compete. But not this one, it's got my number and won't stop calling. My brain likes to do this thing where it prepares for the future by creating every scenario possible and then living through it. What if I do well in Toulouse? What would my life be like for the next 6 months? What if I don't do well? How will I feel, and almost more importantly, how will those I'm connected to feel? Know that I truly appreciate the love you send my way. I've been feeling more of it now than ever, coming from every direction. I wouldn't trade it for anything. It lifts me up and helps me believe that my biggest dreams are possible♥️ At the same time, I worry about losing that love. I don't want to let anyone down, and that thought fits like a 100lb weight vest. When the time comes, all I can do is try, for no reason other than it's what I want to do.
