Self discovery and taking time to breathe and being kind to yourself everyday with even taking one moment to meditate will open up your heart and soul to a more centered self. My sister and I have always loved fashion. I am blessed to live in an age where I can express and be my authentic self. Living in the digital world, one can get caught up with trying to keep up with likes and follows. But what I’ve learned is that no matter how many likes and how many follows I get, If I cannot express my personal unique style and personality, none of that matters. From the very beginning, my sister and many other “It” girls ruled Instagram and I would compare myself to their style and looks. This constant battle in my head that people were against me, lead me down a dark path. But through this dark time, my sister was always there for me to be my constant. She would give me motivational talks and made sure that my sanity was more important than anything else. She gave me the confidence to be me and made me realize that my uniqueness makes me who I am. I gained the confidence to have my own unique style and think outside of the box— beyond what I saw as conventional styling.
