“Designing this apartment was like building a Jenga tower of my own,” says designer @richardmishaan of a recent family home he was commissioned to transform. Located in Herzog & de Meuron’s 821-foot tall skyscraper in TriBeCa, the home’s interiors are a perfect match to the building’s uneven cantilevered block design. Inspired by the client’s fascination with gems, each area of the home is as much a lesson in great design as it is color theory. Marble-inset parquet flooring leads to the master bedroom door, which is upholstered in purple velvet and trimmed with nailheads.
The custom master bed and sofa from Mishaan’s line for @theodore_alexander_official are both in a @maharamstudio mohair. The bed linens are by @matouklinens, the armchairs are by @hollyhuntdesign, and the Plexiglas cocktail table is by @charly_bounan. The brass pendants are by @rollandhill, and the @therealwillyrizzo floor lamp is from @flairhomecollection.
