In the series, Rosie has spina bifida, she is a single mother with two sons, she works and have an active love life. I was really moved by Rosie’s energy and I was pretty sure that the woman behind the character could not be too different from her - so I contacted Ruth. I asked the fantastic artistic duo #Scandebergs to take some glamorous portraits of her, keeping in mind our commitment to change the way people with disabilities are represented in the media. The portraits, needless to say, turned out stunning. Ruth will be on stage at the Donmar Warehouse Theatre in London from December 6th 2019 – to February 1st 2020 in the play Teenage Dick – a modern take on Shakespeare’s Richard III with a fantastic cast of disabled and able-bodied actors and here is our conversation.’ #AlessiaGlaviano Read the interview via link in bio.
