Top-to-bottom super-G training in early November under blue skies and sunshine in Colorado is a gift!! I think this was the first time (since I started racing in every discipline) that I was able to successfully train across all disciplines - downhill, super-G, GS and slalom - before diving into this crazy World Cup schedule, which includes a whole bunch of races across five disciplines in four different countries, with some major continent-hopping. In a four week span we travel from Levi, Finland to Killington, Vt. (YAY🙃!!) to Lake Louise, Canada to St Moritz, Switzerland...and then onward for nearly every weekend to what seems like a bajillion different places. 🥴🥴🤪 I was asked after my win in Levi how I make it look so easy. The truth is, it’s not easy. The @fisalpine competition schedule alone is difficult to manage, but preparation for all of these events is an entirely different beast...getting enough rest to perform, feel good and ski my best turns, being surrounded by the best team I can imagine who works so hard, and working with incredible resort partners to provide amazing training opportunities makes it a little easier. But it’s far from easy. That said, I feel prepared and ready for this stretch. And I CAN’T WAIT to compete at @killingtonmtn, in front of the absolute best fans in the world.
