バーバラ・ザンガールさんのインスタグラム写真 - (バーバラ・ザンガールInstagram)「When I went up to the top of El Cap a few weeks ago, I was alone. I thought I could rapp-in to work the changing corners and climb back to the top (rope-solo). As I was ready to start my mission in the early morning, I saw there were already static lines going down to the corners. I was wondering who‘s lines could those be. I met @a.eggermont, a Belgium photographer and climber. He told me that @sebertheclimber and @debryloic are down there on their ground up ascent to free the Nose. So I decided to stay up at the top. I didn‘t want to be in their way. As I was laying in the sun almost all day long (totally jet-lagged) I got a message from those guys who welcomed me to come down. I rapped in and hang out with them for two days...got to work the crux pitch and made some progress. Loic and Seb spent already an extra day on the wall and slowly ran out of food. Seb got closer and closer on the changing corners on every single try. So he decided to stay another day. I had some extra food left for us. One drymeal to share and 3 bars. So I jumared back to the top to get the food. On top I ran into @hazel_findlay and chatted with her. (She was on top to take pictures of Dan (McManus) and @angus.kille who just topped out El Corazon.) In the meanwhile a bird (raven) got after my food...opened the haulbag and flew away with my last drymeal— I started to run and scream, following the bird. Seeing my promised food supply flying away. I already thought nobody would trust me with this story. Then Hazel started to run as well and the bird dropped the bag. I taped all the holes of the bag and I was ready to go down again. Dan an Angus—offered me some extra food from their left overs as well!!So I had a full load of food for one extra day!! Loic left at this day to get back to the valley. I stayed with Seb on his last day on the wall, when he finally sent the changing corners (that was so motivating to see.) Together we climbed up to the top. Seb has completed his ground up free ascent of the Nose in 8 days. Very inspiring!! Right after I had to run fast to get to the airport and pick up Jacopo!
