Mourners took part in a vigil and a minute of silence in #Cambridge on Dec. 2, in the wake of the #London attack that left two people dead last week. Leanne O’Brien, identified as the girlfriend of Jack Merritt, stood with his parents, other students, city councilors and residents in honor of the former university students on Monday. Three days earlier, Merritt, 25, and Saskia Jones, 23, were fatally stabbed near the London Bridge, @apnews reports, in what has been described by police as a terror incident. The 28-year-old attacker, who was shot and killed by authorities, was identified by police as having been convicted in 2012 for terrorism offenses, and released from prison last year.
