サラ・ドリューさんのインスタグラム写真 - (サラ・ドリューInstagram)「It’s difficult to describe how extraordinary it was to experience the Wiener Philharmoniker at the Musikverein last night. The concert was simply tremendous. Beethoven’s piano concerto #5 received about an 8 or 9 minute round of applause for Rudolf Buchbinder whose piano playing was truly exquisite. I found myself laughing in delight to the second piece by Stravinsky (der kuss der Fee). Without knowing the title or that it is translated “the kiss of the fairy” the music painted this incredibly playful narrative of wood sprites and forest animals laughing and playing together. I found myself laughing in delight as the flutes seemed to speak to the strings. The final piece by Respighi (pini di Roma) caught all of us off-guard with how emotional and triumphant it was. The final movement included Roman processional trumpets responding to the orchestra from the back balcony which made for an all encompassing crescendo of energy and sound that brought me to tears. I felt like I was experiencing something heavenly... something beyond the sum of its parts. I’ve never experienced music in this way before. I am so profoundly grateful to Peter’s friends, The Wilhelms for giving us the gift of this extraordinary experience. #vienna」12月9日 0時18分 - thesarahdrew
