The US government is the largest employer in the country, yet, unlike many companies in the private sector, it provides ZERO days of paid parental leave for new parents. This directly affects hiring, retention, and advancement of employees, particularly women. If the government makes strides to provide parental leave, it will also create momentum for the rest of the country. We are sooo close to getting this done, but we need help.
