I've mentally dissected and loathed parts of my body ... stared into the mirror and hated my shoulders (too broad! too big!), my legs (too short!) ... always dreaming of being smaller, leaner, taller, "better".
Looking back now at one of the most satisfying, scary, frightening and rewarding weeks of my life I can see the very things I hated about myself, helped me reach one of my greatest physical milestones. I used to work out to try and look a certain way. Now I workout and train because it makes me FEEL good. And when you feel good, more good things tend to happen.
So many things that could've gone wrong last week, went right. And for that, I thank my body for hanging in there. Despite the fact I was totally shitting myself! Feeling grateful for my shoulders and legs now 🙏🏽 Thank you for capturing this moment @silkymerman
