Utilizing open chain movements helps the body deliver a signal to not only the muscle being focused on but the muscles around it as well. This is why deadlifts and squats are amazing movements to build muscle and strength. Taking a closed chain movement such as a hamstring curl and allowing the body to make it semi open chain is optimal. Never look over little steps. The steps to greatness are made of several inches not feats. We make sure we’re using our minds and focus deep into the hamstrings and glutes feeling every fiber working properly. I generate great power at around 15-20 reps and working to failure in this rep range is effective for my body. When you get deeply connected with your muscles, you don’t need to lift the whole gym. I know most people think of working a higher rep range as light, but not for me. #LetsWORK!!!
