Repost from @karmagawa A cyclist helped a thirsty koala by giving him something to drink during his morning race in Adelaide, Australia as the poor dehydrated animal walked right up to a group of cyclists and got on the bicycle to drink directly from the water bottle — he was that thirsty! Sadly, thousands of koalas are now feared to have died in the wildfires raging across Australia, with officials saying they believe up to a third of the iconic marsupial population may have been lost. Koalas are native to Australia and are one of the country’s most beloved animals, but their natural habitat, eucalyptus forests, has been destroyed by wildfires and a years-long drought.
