In this international program I lived, worked and studied in Taipei, Barcelona and San Francisco. After graduation, I worked at a tech start up in The Bay - I was employee #3 and worked in marketing and sales over the years. I would travel the country/world to meet with retailers such as Apple and teach them about our company and products. But after 4 years, I decided to put my entrepreneurial degree and creativity to the test and in 2016 I started @samimirovintage on a whim with zero education in fashion. A couple months later, I redesigned Selena Gomez’s world tour in Asia, and had every icon wearing SMV: Bella, Kendall, Gigi, Kylie, Kim, Drake, The Weeknd, Hailey B, the list goes on. I’m so honored and grateful to have your support. Honestly, pinch me. SMV was one of the first brands who’s focus was reworking vintage and sustainability. Now both are trendy but for me it’s in my DNA. In 2018 I started consulting and designing for Yeezy and I designed a sold out 12-piece capsule collection in collaboration with Nike. In 2019 I launched my 30-piece collaboration with Heron Preston and my designs walked down the runway at Paris Fashion Week - something I never anticipated I would say. I have also had honor of working in front of the camera with some of the most influential brands: Burberry, Dior, Nike, Yeezy, Tiffany & CO, Balmain, Calvin Klein, Fendi, and more. I have been acknowledged by Vogue, CFDA, Forbes, V Mag and more for my savviness in vintage and sustainability. My point is that with hard work, honesty, perseverance and a good idea you can do ANYTHING!!!! I have only scratched the surface but my unconventional rout is a testament to that!
