Do I go 24 hours without eating even a little bit of something that somebody would be happy to shame me about? Rarely. . Do I shame myself? Heck no. . Crazy genetics? NO. . I created a healthy, realistic relationship with food by not expecting perfection, but allowing things in MODERATION. Guess what happened? I craved them less. I became satisfied with a little bit of something vs thinking it would be the last time I may ever eat it. (Hence eat way past satisfaction) . My point? . Finding that balance took time & patience..but was imperative for my own health journey. And imperative for my own mental AND physical health. . As you begin your resolutions to be HEALTHIER..consider small changes that you can stick with instead of cutting 50% of your calories. That’s a fast track to failure. . When you immediately slash loads of calories you stress the heck out of your body and cause it to hold on tighter to the fat you wanna lose. . Be gentle. Focus on what you can eat to FEEL healthier, exercising, building muscle that BURNS more calories...NOT STARVATION! . ...and your chances of still being on your health journey come Feb will be much higher.
