Everyday, I pickup my daughter from class, and she has a new piece of artwork for me. And I love them. All of them. They’re a little piece of her, a snapshot of this moment in time, and I wish I could somehow frame them all or capture them forever. So I started thinking, what if I could scan her artwork, shrink it down, and put it on a piece of jewelry, and wear her art? What if I could actually wear something from someone I love? What if I could do that with anything special, like a letter from my Grandfather, or a note left on my counter 5 years ago from my now husband...how special it would be to carry those treasures with me, on my body, forever. So I made this piece, called the Bodhi Piece, with the first rainbow/sunshine (still don’t know exactly what it is) she made for her Mama and I’m so excited I get to share this with all of you.
