Elevated and couture-like, the show was McQueen at his most romantic — and it ended with the unforgettable finale of a corset-framed dress which he had filled with fresh hydrangeas and roses. “The dress was meant to be covered and wrapped in twisted tulle like other pieces in the collection... but just as it was about to go out, Lee took scissors and — it was so incredible — had the bravery to just hack off the tulle and then spray it with cobweb spray... It was so immediate and so alive. The confidence in his creativity, the confidence that it would be great was awe inspiring...it had this sense that it was completely alive, that dress...
