I would like to start this year by paying homage to the people that help us photographers make our pictures. Hairdressers are incredibly important, so I want to begin with Christiaan Houtenbos. He manages to construct and destroy just the right amount to give someone a look, but at the same time make it feel he did not touch them. The funny thing is that sometimes the more untouched something needs to look, the more work it actually needs. He has been in the business for over forty years, but his lightness of touch and taste has stayed so current and he is always looking and searching for the new. He is always a real pleasure to spend the day with, anywhere in the world. Thank you, Christiaan.
