Spending this past week and a half there, I was lucky to be spending time in a place that wasn’t really affected by the fires (I mean, yes, it was smoky and crazy hot, but considering what’s happening in other parts of the country, it was totally fine). The trip was still fun and beautiful because Australia innately is so fun and beautiful, but the looming presence of the fires was deeply felt. I was gonna post a collage of some of my photos there, but it just felt too weird. Instead, I’m posting photos I’m sure most people have already seen, but I don’t think we can see enough.
