It was my last elite floor routine ever and I earned my personal best ever Floor score, of 14.366. The main reason it was the most satisfying though, was because it came immediately after my worst ever fall- on Beam, the rotation before, when my adrenaline-fuelled changeleg/switch leap ended in me slipping and hanging underneath the apparatus... 😣 so this routine was fuelled by a pure focus and determination to perform for my country and team like I knew I could... to show what I was really capable of, and that I wasn't here to let my team down. 🤨 Being able to pull it off with the support of my coaches, teammates, and the most passionate and incredible crowd, is a moment I'll never forget, or get tired of rewatching! 🥰 - 🎶 By the way (people have asked me about this before so) at the end of the video you see me urgently saying something to Colin- I was telling him "you can't hear the music!" due to the roaring of the crowd. (An amazing problem to have but a bit tricky when you need to dance in time... how I managed to do so was a near-miracle as I genuinely only heard the odd note over the clapping- guess I got used to the timing after months of training repetitions of that routine!) Anyway, this was not just me being a "drama queen" but was because my first concern was not to celebrate what had just happened, but to quickly see if they could do anything (turn up the volume?) to help out my teammates competing after me, as I had gone first.
