As luck would have it, a Florida black bear knocked over two of flashes and bumped my trigger the week before. So this beautiful female panther is a bit more mysterious than I wanted: the bear knocked over the left flash, leaving the right side of her face dark. And she's a bit further from the camera than I'd like because the bear misaligned the trigger. But I am still quite happy with the moment, a gift of capturing a rare panther walking in the shadow of this 500-year-old cypress on Green Glades West ranch, next to Big Cypress National Preserve.
