Video by @bertiegregory | A female grey wolf moves down a frozen river to meet up with the rest of her pack. We found these wolves would regularly use meandering frozen rivers to get from point A to B. These routes were often significantly longer than choosing a straighter line through willows and deeper snow. Although longer, these river routes seemed to be much faster and energy efficient, acting as highways throughout their territory.
