With #Booksmart and the @ネットフリックス series #Unbelievable, @ケイトリン・ディーヴァー, 23, has rapidly emerged as one of the most unnervingly accomplished young actresses working today, earning nominations for the 2020 #Bafta EE Rising Star Award and the #GoldenGlobes along the way. That she should cite Avril Lavigne, Hilary Duff, and Christy Carlson Romano as her foremost adolescent influences, then, feels both strange and strangely perfect; Dever is very much a product of the cultural forces that shaped millennials. “Booksmart is a movie that represents really, really truthfully the generation that I’m growing up in,” she says. “I think it’s a movie that people needed.” In the new decade, she plans to continue to tell those kinds of stories.
