I suggested that he eat food that gives him energy and makes him feel good! He said that if he knew food that did that he would eat it... I pointed to my groceries as an example to show him and tried to explain that not all food makes you feel like that!  This really got me thinking! One thing I always wished I knew more about growing up was diet and nutrition and how much of an effect it has on our body. If you’re constantly tired, sluggish, bloated or just not feeling “good” in general. Consider that it might have to do with what you’re putting in your body. As I mentioned a while back, when my skin condition went crazy, it was my diet that saved me. Food should be fuel, it should give us energy and help our bodies recover. Don’t get me wrong, I do love to indulge from time to time and I know sometimes we are simply just tired! But, I know when I’m not feeling my best and I know it’s important to listen to my body, so I make a conscious effort to constantly be researching, learning and making positive changes to improve my quality of life.
