This isn’t exactly a Kobe post. I honestly feel weird even mentioning his name in the caption for a video of me dancing...but yesterday was weird...just as we were about to leave for a family day at lake casitas, I heard the news. I didn’t want to believe it. The combination of his age, success, family and all he had going for him made it seem impossible. Then I heard about his daughter and the other passengers and reality set in. Years ago I had the opportunity to perform at his daughters birthday party and personally teach Natalia and Gianna some robot. Kobe and the whole family were some of the kindest people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and performing for. Yesterday felt different with my own family...I was grateful just to have a simple day with them. I made more of an effort to connect with my own daughter...I want to always be like that. I respected the #mambamentality when it came to work ethic, drive, focus and determination and will try to apply that more in my work and passions but more importantly I want to be a better father, brother, son and friend.
