They are a 501c(3) non-profit organization and opened their doors in March 2017. They provide free #Cosmetologyeducation to 24 incarcerated women per year, state board testing at the prison and once the ladies are released from prison, they walk out with their license in their hand, then they visit the R.I.S.E. RE-ENTRY RESOURCE CENTER and are provided most of their career tools, clothing and personal hygiene items. R.I.S.E. also partners with salons, recovery support groups and transitional houses in order to assist them with immediate employment, housing and a great support and mentor program. Within 3 days of their release, they are working #behindthechair and working hard to be successful through this second chance. They have 100% state board exam pass rate, 0 recidivism rate, 20 graduates released and 80% are working in the Beauty Industry.
