Our #wcw Jennifer Bartlett created this work as a part of her series "Air: 24 Hours," showing the passage of time through 24 paintings of 24 different areas in her Manhattan studio—one for each hour of the day. This is 5 pm. 👆 🕔

Following a set of self-imposed rules, Bartlett's paintings share an underlying grid-based structure (seen peeking throughout this work) whose components always add up to the number 60. ⁣⁣
