Do you have Global Entry? Has it saved you yet?
Mine was up for renewal in December and instead of just reapplying online and getting approved, I was required to come in for another interview. Hubs didn't have to get an interview - he just got the big ol green light.
It took 45 days to get an appointment, and in the end it was easier to drive to Long Beach than tackle LAX.
Why did I have to reinterview at all? My only guess is that when I applied for renewal and had to list where I'd been in the last five years I input 40 countries. FORTY. In 5 years.
Was it all of my trips to the Middle East? Who knows? The agent said it was random.
Whatever the case, I'm cleared again to breeze in and out of the US.
For me it was worth it.
There have been a couple times I would've missed my connection if I didn't have it.
Do you have Global Entry? Have you had any issues obtaining it or renewing it?
