This week has been particularly tough for me, and social media can be deceiving! In my stories and posts I know I exude only strength and confidence because I never want to give off negative energy. But, I like to continually remind myself (and I like to remind all of you) that it’s OK to be vulnerable and it’s OK to not be OK.
This has been a week full of stress, breakdowns, and anxiety for me.
It is important though to allow yourself to feel vulnerable and share your struggles with your loved ones. This will allow you to heal, connect with others and maybe even help someone who is also struggling.
When I’m having a difficult week, some things that help me feel relaxed are to turn my phone off for a few hours, take a bath, sit quietly and focus on my breathing, light some candles, or treat myself to a massage. I used to ignore my feelings and move on with my day but I am learning to make time for myself (without guilt)
If you’re having a hard day, be gentle on yourselves babes! We’re all human and are allowed to struggle. Everyday try to do something for YOU to reconnect with yourself and always remember that the tough times only make you stronger.
