Then of course because John wouldn’t take NO for an answer! The writer [ right ] Randy Huggins finally told John yes! I wasn’t in the room for the original meeting when Randy and John went in to pitch the idea to Donald Deline! When I walked in for the follow up meeting Randy said sit here Ty! I said why? He said the last time we were in this room John sat there! ( as he pointed to his right where the seat was empty ) I felt emotional honestly and had to pause and breathe cause I knew at that moment that John’s was still IN the room! [ no pressure ] So that day Donald Deline heard the 13 episode layered pitch and character arc and honestly I thought we blew it! Then Donald said YES!! To our TV series!! Huh??? I just can’t take it anymore!!! What’s crazy is I told John for years I didn’t wanna do TV? He would laugh and say “You don’t know your ass from your elbow”! As always John knew better than I ever knew. I guess I’m really gonna starring in a TV series now? Unreal times guys! last piece to this story there was a confirmed pitch meeting scheduled at Legendary it was canceled cause John suddenly got sick and not even a week later he passed.
