The techniques of pleating and exploding taffeta in this severe yet extravagantly voluminous Widows of Culloden dress were envisaged by Lee Alexander McQueen.

Thirteen years on, the knowledge embedded in its techniques were revived and refreshed in the making of the Autumn Winter 2019 Red Rose dress.
