In addition to relying on his vast knowledge of history's most iconic rooms, Vergeylen incorporated fresh, contemporary touches throughout the traditional space. "In a house so large, each room ought to spring from a profound inspiration, maintaining its own inner life," Vergeylen says. In the conservatory, the sofa is by Massant, and the 19th-century chairs are in a Paolo Moschino for Nicholas Haslam linen; the 1960s cocktail table is French, and the pendant is by @charlesedwardsltd.
