She’s my second mom, my best friend, my therapist lol, my inspiration. In this life that can throw anything at you, I can only hope to be half as strong as she’s had to be. You’re the strongest person I’ve ever known w the most gentle forgiving heart. Two time breast cancer survivor, and recently in 2016 pancreatic cancer. After she made it thru that painful surgery she lost her son a few months later (my daddy) This past December we also lost my grandfather. Even tho they had divorced many years ago she still helped care for him in his last days. I love animals because of you, mostly dogs & birds. You had pictures and books of Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor in the house, that’s where my obsession w these women came from. Cuddled up on the couch on rainy days watching “I Love Lucy” “The Little House on the Prairie” “Beauty and the Beast” fave memories. 6th grade I yelled for you from the bathroom, I didn’t know what happened to me. You laughed, said I was ok, I wasn’t dying that I just became a woman. Dad w tears in his eyes 😅that was too much for him to handle. As a little girl I put on your fur coats (hopefully those were faux furs lol), high heels & walked around the house. You taught me how to cook, how to get over a heartbreak. I wanted to know about sex, I talked to you because I couldn’t talk to mom about that (still can’t talk to mom about that lol) The first and ONLY time I ever talked back to you was in 3rd grade so Dad put me over his lap to spank me, (he barely tapped me ha!) I cried, then you cried. I never talked back again. I use to love going to your work (my grandma made stuffed teddy bears, wind up dolls. I was in heaven! You always told me that the sunrise was the prettiest time of day. I rushed to The hospital to see you right after they removed your cancer and you had the nerve to ask me how my day was!? But that’s the kind of woman you are, always concerned about others while putting yourself last. Your heart is bigger than this world can hold. I’m so thankful you’re in my life never leave me!
