Often called the Boneyard, this U.S. Air Force site holds nearly 3,300 aircraft, making it the largest plane storage facility in the world. The arid climate allows the planes to be preserved for years, for remanufacturing or to be put back into service. AMARG is one of the subjects of my latest story for the magazine on the "end of trash," which provides insights on how waste can be prevented, even at this massive scale.
