Renowned in the film world as a powerhouse set-design team, David Wasco and Sandy Reynolds-Wasco have long been on speed dial for directors such as Quentin Tarantino, Wes Anderson, and Damien Chazelle. When the couple searched for the perfect home away from the hustle and bustle of moviemaking, it was their love affair with modern design that led them to a midcentury bungalow in the Santa Barbara foothills. With interiors inspired by California modernism and midcentury modern’s classic palette of materials, the Winter House, as it's called, came to life.
In the living room, a custom sofa from Ten10 and a pair of lounge chairs by Milo Baughman surround an Eames cocktail table covered in gold leaf. The club chair is also by Baughman, the walls and hearth are painted in Green Ground by @farrowandball, and the ceiling is lined with Douglas fir.
