Or those who previously booked please Postpone. We’re extremely vulnerable out here with limited resources & accessibility. Being ill-equipped to handle mass numbers will hit us Far Worse than other places if more potentially infected people keeping arriving. ~ I arrived to Hawai'i 11 days ago just as the pandemic was announced & before any measures/restrictions came into play. I have a home, family & friends in Hawai'i, as well as Los Angeles. I also came out here for business initially. I was only meant to stay for a few days. But now I’m doing my responsible part & staying put. ~ Everything here is shut down as well, only essential businesses are open, beaches/parks/landmarks/attractions are all CLOSED, an emergency stay-at-home order has just been initiated, plus there’s a MANDATORY 14-day QUARANTINE for incoming residents + visitors beginning in a few days. You’re responsible for all associated costs & if you break quarantine you face a $5k fine & a year in jail. So if you think you’re coming out here for a vacation experience you’ll be in for a shocker! ~ I know I’ve been posting pretty pics/vids & all seems peachy, but I’m sharing stolen moments where I got to venture outside for a breather, & send a little beauty + positivity to you.
