For our April 2020 issue, ED invited contributor @judiroaman to explore the evolution of the @beittrad guesthouse in the mountains of Lebanon. The two-acre property began as the family home of Roaman's close friend, Beirut psychologist Sarah Trad. Trad enjoyed many summers at the home, but stopped visiting when her parents died. As time passed and she gave it much thought, Trad made the decision to take on a respectful restoration with the help of a Lebanese team—architect @fadlodagher and designer @mariaousseimi1. Beit Trad now serves a guest home that also doubles as Trad's personal retreat. Pictured is the new concrete swimming pool, featuring gardens designed by Beirut-based Gaby Khalife. “It’s a house that likes guests,” says Trad. “That’s how it is most happy.” Click the link in bio for the full tour, as featured in our April 2020 issue.
