RIP my sweet pal Bill. My first encounter with Mr Withers was at one of the legendary Yamaha Groove Nights in Anaheim. He and Ralph MacDonald were on the floor, wrasslin’ like two 5-yr old boys, though they were grown men in their 60’s. It was one of the sweetest things you could imagine. Old friends that were so happy to see each other, that they ended up on the ground! After that, Bill became a good friend and I’ll post a few stories on my FB fanpage.
